ORANJE 2010: What To Know

PARKING

There is no “on-site” parking at ORANJE.  Limited parking will be available in the lots surrounding the ORANJE building.  Additionally, there is street parking available in the area around the event.  There is no street parking permitted on 24th Street.  Due to limited parking, we strongly encourage patrons to carpool to ORANJE.  As well, we advise you not to park west of Illinois Street.  ORANJE will not be held liable for any issues related to parking for the event.

DIRECTIONS

FROM NORTH:  Take Meridian Street SOUTH to 22nd Street.  Turn RIGHT onto 22nd Street and go one block to Illinois Street.  Turn RIGHT onto Illinois Street.  ORANJE will be one block up Illinois Street on your right.

FROM SOUTH:  Take Meridian Street NORTH to 22nd Street. Turn LEFT onto 22nd Street and go one block to Illinois Street.  Turn RIGHT onto Illinois Street.  ORANJE will be one block up Illinois Street on your right.

ENTRY

The Main Entrance to ORANJE is located on 24th Street between Meridian Street and Illinois Street.  Tickets to ORANJE are $20.00 and may be purchased with Cash ONLY at the Main Entrance.  There will be an ATM located outside the Main Entrance to ORANJE for your convenience.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Due to limited parking at ORANJE, we strongly advise patrons to take public transportation (bus or taxi) to the event when possible.  Click here for IndyGo bus route info (www.indygo.net).

PAYMENTS

Only cash will be accepted at the Main Entrance for entry into ORANJE.  Food vendors will also accept cash only.   However, the bars at ORANJE will accept cash and credit card.

ATM

There will be two ATMs on site at ORANJE.  One will be located just outside the Main Entrance to ORANJE and one will be located just inside the building.

ART SALES

The majority of art at ORANJE will be for sale by the artists.  ORANJE artists keep 100% of their sales proceeds.  Most artists will accept cash or check as payment.

RESTROOMS

There are no permanent restroom facilities at ORANJE.  Ample portable restrooms will be located on-site along with hand washing stations and hand sanitizer.

INDOOR / OUTDOOR

ORANJE takes place inside and outside the building at 2323 North Illinois Street.   Please watch the weather and plan accordingly.

SMOKING

There is no smoking permitted inside ORANJE.  However, patrons are allowed to smoke outside at the event.  We ask that you please used the designated cigarette disposal cans to dispose of your cigarette butts.

SECURITY

There will be Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and Indianapolis Fire Department officers on site throughout ORANJE for any emergency needs.  As well, there will be private security personnel stationed throughout the event.

21+ WITH ID

ORANJE is a 21 and over event.  All patrons must present a valid ID for entry to ORANJE.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

BEVERAGES

Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at ORANJE and will be served at bars located throughout the event.  Soda, juice and water will also be available for purchase.  We do not permit any outside alcohol, drinks or coolers to be brought into the event.

ACCOMODATIONS

The preferred hotel of ORANJE 2010 in the newly renovated downtown LaQuinta Inn (www.lq.com) located at 401 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN.  There are a limited number of rooms available for September 18th at a discounted rate when you mention ORANJE.  Please contact the LaQuinta Inn directly at 317.638.0327 for room reservations.

We are looking for volunteers to assist us in all areas of planning, preparation and execution of ORANJE 2010!!!  Check out our Call for Volunteers posted below for all the info about volunteering for ORANJE.  If you are interested in volunteering and earning a free ticket to ORANJE 2010, email our Volunteer Coordinator, Adam Crockett (volunteer@oranjeindy.com) with your name, email address and phone number and also tell us how you would like to help!

 

 

ORANJE 2010 Call for Volunteers

We are looking for excited and motivated individuals to volunteer for ORANJE 2010.  ORANJE 2010 will take place on September 18, 2010 from 8:00 PM - 2:00 AM at 2323 N. Illinois Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.  ORANJE 2010 will feature over 45 artists and 35 musicians/bands/DJs and so much more! 

ORANJE would not be possible with out the assistance of all our wonderful volunteers.  It is the combined efforts of everyone involved in ORANJE, which makes the event special.  Your interest in assisting is greatly appreciated. 

ORANJE is seeking volunteers to help with the following:

Promotions/Marketing- Street Team Promotions, Promotional Event Staff, Flier Distribution, etc. (August 15 – September 18, 2010)

Photography/Videography/Multimedia Production- Promotional Event Documentation, Event Preparations Documentation, ORANJE 2010 Event Documentation, Editing, etc.  (June 1 – September 18, 2010)

Event Production- Building Preparations, A/V Set-Up, Event Breakdown, etc. (September 1- September 30, 2010)

Event Staff- Admissions, ORANJE Concierge, Stage Management, Artist Liaison, etc.  (September 18, 2010)

Please note that all volunteers must attend one of the two mandatory Volunteer Orientation Meetings. 

 

 

Volunteering prior to ORANJE 2010:

All persons who volunteer for ORANJE prior to the event for a minimum of three (3) hours will be given one (1) general admission ticket to ORANJE 2010.  Volunteers assisting with promotions/marketing and/or photography, videography/multimedia will be given free access to the events at which you volunteer.  Volunteers will meet up with an ORANJE Volunteer Coordinator at a specified location and will be given an agenda at the beginning of their shift.  Volunteers are expected to diligently and professionally complete all tasks to which they are assigned. 

 

Volunteering at ORANJE 2010:

Volunteers who work at ORANJE 2010 will act as ORANJE Ambassadors and will assist patrons and participants within the event.  It is very important to be both equipped with knowledge of ORANJE, as well as to know when to ask for assistance.  ORANJE will provide you with detailed plans and information about the 2010 event, however, do not be afraid to admit to a patron or participant that you need to ask for assistance.

Volunteer shifts on the night of the event are split into two (2) four (4) hour shifts. 

Shift 1 - 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Shift 2 - 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM

All volunteers must sign a waiver to volunteer at ORANJE 2010.  Please be aware that hazards exist at the ORANJE building. The nature of the nature of this facility presents a number of irregular situations.  Please use caution in and around the site of ORANJE 2010 and alert your supervisor if you notice something that is potentially hazardous.

ORANJE 2010 Updates!!!

ORANJE 2010 is underway and coming soon!!!  Please mark your calendar so you are sure not to miss our ninth annual interactive experience of art & music....ORANJE 2010....SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2010!!!

We had an overwhelming response to our Call for Participants this year with over 90 artists and 125 music acts submitting.  Unfortunately, we are not able to include everyone who submitted in the event.  However, we have selected an incredible line up of over 40 artists and 40 music acts which will be presented at ORANJE 2010.  Stay tuned for the participant announcement coming very soon!

We are also very pleased to have yet another great line-up of sponsors for ORANJE 2010.  We have recently reached sponsorship agreements with the following companies to be ORANJE 2010 Sponsors!
